Source from your couch!

Why spend all day at the thrift store when you can source textbooks on Mercari from the comfort of your own home?

The play is simple: people list textbooks on Mercari for a few bucks without knowing what they're worth — and plenty of them resell for $30, $40, $50+. Paste a listing here before you buy and FlipJuggler tells you what you'd actually pocket after fees and shipping. Buy the winners, skip the rest. Grabbing a listing takes seconds: in Mercari, tap ⋮ → Share → More options, copy the sharing text, and paste it here.

Built for mobile — made for Mercari sellers & flippers. Spot a textbook on Mercari, paste its sharing text here (in the app: ⋮ → Share → More options → copy), and FlipJuggler identifies the exact edition, checks it against current resale prices, and gives you the verdict — FLIP IT, THIN MARGIN, or PASS — before you spend a dollar.

How it works

Built for the Mercari app — no desktop, no overlay, no extra tabs.

1

Share the listing

Find a textbook in the Mercari app, tap the ⋮ menu, then Share → More options and copy the sharing text — that's what carries the book's title. Skip Mercari's Copy Link button; it copies the link only.

2

We identify the edition

We pin down the exact edition — because with textbooks, the edition is the price.

3

FLIP IT, THIN MARGIN, PASS — or an honest CAN'T VERIFY — in seconds, with your estimated net profit shown.

Try it instantly — real Mercari listings

Fastest way: in Mercari, tap ⋮ → Share → More options, copy the sharing text, come back here and tap Paste — no install needed. Skip Mercari's Copy Link button: it copies the link without the book's title, so the checker can't identify the book. Installed the home-screen app? That same More options sheet lists FlipJuggler — it drops the listing into the checker for you; just add the price and shipping. Tip: long-press FlipJuggler in the share list and Pin it, and it stays at the top.

Coverage: textbooks — that's the whole niche. Paste a Mercari textbook listing's sharing text and get an edition-accurate verdict from live Amazon pricing data. A listing it can't read automatically falls back to a quick manual check.

About the pricing: Prices come from live Amazon marketplace data, refreshed daily. Selling pace is estimated from sales rank — so a great price on a slow seller still gets flagged.

Grab these from the listing — Mercari doesn't pass them along with the link or the share text.

Single books only: FlipJuggler checks one book per listing. Lot listings (several books bundled together) can't be priced reliably, so they won't check.

Why resellers trust the verdict

Textbooks punish guessing: the wrong edition, a highlighted copy, or a $20 shipping charge can erase the whole margin.

Edition-accurate verdicts

Every verdict is for the exact edition in the listing — hardcover, paperback, and loose-leaf all price differently.

Total cost — shipping included

A $4.28 book with $20.32 shipping is a $24.60 book. We run the math on the total, because shipping is the margin killer.

Edition-decay & highlighting flags

Superseded editions and highlighted copies are worth less than clean, current ones. Both get flagged, not hidden.

Honest CAN'T VERIFY answers

If a listing doesn't say which edition it is, we say so and show no profit figure. No guessing — you'd pay for the lie.

Selling pace counts: every verdict weighs how fast a book actually sells, not just what it lists for — a great price on a book nobody buys still gets flagged.

Questions, answered

The stuff every new flipper asks before their first check.

What does FlipJuggler actually do?

Paste or share a Mercari textbook listing, type in its price and shipping, and FlipJuggler identifies the exact edition, compares the listing's total cost — price plus shipping — against current resale prices, and gives you a verdict with your estimated profit after selling fees: FLIP IT, THIN MARGIN, or PASS. You find out before you spend a dollar, not after.

How do I check a listing?

In the Mercari app, open the listing and tap the ⋮ menu in the corner, then Share → More options. On the Sharing text sheet, tap the copy icon at the corner of the text box — that copies the listing's sharing text, title included. (Don't use Mercari's big Copy Link button: it copies only the link, without the title, so the checker can't tell which book it is.) Come back here, tap Paste, add the listing's price and shipping, and tap Check this listing. Installed FlipJuggler on your home screen? That same More options sheet sends the listing straight into the checker box — you just add the price and shipping and tap Check.

Can it tell me what to list my own textbook for?

Yes — that's the "What's it worth?" check under the checker, for textbooks you already own. Enter the ISBN (or scan the back-cover barcode) and you'll get the going resale value, what you'd net after selling fees, how fast it should sell, a suggested list price, and a ready-to-paste listing title with the edition spelled out. Worth checks count toward your free checks just like verdict checks.

What do the verdicts mean?

FLIP IT — estimated profit of $15 or more after fees. THIN MARGIN — $0 to $15: real profit, but thin, so a shipping surprise can eat it. PASS — you'd lose money at that price. CAN'T VERIFY — we couldn't pin down the edition or find a reliable resale price, so we show no profit figure rather than guess. THIN and PASS verdicts also show the all-in total that would make the book a FLIP IT, so you know exactly what to offer.

Which books flip best?

Current-edition textbooks — the ones students need this semester. Nursing, psychology, and the sciences hold their value especially well. Older editions drop fast once a new edition comes out, and loose-leaf or heavily highlighted copies fetch less than clean bound ones, so the checker flags all of that.

Why did my listing come back CAN'T VERIFY?

Usually the listing never makes the edition clear — no ISBN in the photos, a vague title, a stock photo. One more possibility: it isn't a textbook. FlipJuggler only tracks textbooks — novels, cookbooks, kids' books and other regular books come back CAN'T VERIFY because we don't price them. If it is a textbook, try the manual check under the checker with the book's ISBN plus the listing's price and shipping — the ISBN is on the back cover, above the barcode, and you can scan that barcode with your camera instead of typing it.

How many free checks do I get?

10 every month, with full verdicts — no card required. The counter at the top of the checker shows how many you have left. Every way of starting a check counts the same — pasting a link, sharing from Mercari, typing an ISBN, scanning a barcode, or a "What's it worth?" check. But you only ever pay for a book once a month: re-checking the same book — say, at a different price — is always free, and so are replaying a check from your Recent checks list and the three example listings on this page.

How do I keep a record of a book I bought?

Tap "Save this check as a file" on any verdict card — or "Save record" next to a book you've marked Bought it in Recent checks. It downloads a small text file named after the book with everything from the check: what you paid, the resale value and estimated profit, a ready-to-paste listing title, the photo checklist for when the book arrives, and space for your own notes. When you're ready to list it for resale, it's all in one file on your phone.

I bought Pro. Where's my key?

It takes a few taps inside Whop: after checkout, Whop emails you a claim code — enter it on Whop to finish claiming your purchase. Then open the Whop app or site, go to Library → FlipJuggler Pro, and tap the SOFTWARE button — your license key is on that page. Paste it once into the Unlock Pro panel under the checker and that device gets unlimited checks — no sign-in needed.

Does it work for video games or trading cards?

Not yet — books and textbooks are live today, and games and cards are in the works. Pro members get new categories first.
